HCLFoundation Annual Meet – Partnering For Change 2024: Focus on power of collaborative partnerships in addressing social challenges

New Delhi, February 5, 2024: Showcasing its commitment and collaboration for social change, the HCLFoundation hosted the seventh edition of its 2-day annual partnership meet– Partnering For Change 2024 in New Delhi. The event brought together individuals, organizations, and stakeholders dedicated to making a positive impact on society.

The HCLFoundation, the philanthropic arm of HCL Technologies, has been engaged in sustainable development through its various initiatives. The annual meet served as a platform to showcase the foundation’s accomplishments, share inspiring stories, and discuss future plans to address critical social issues.

Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Vice President, Global CSR, HCLTech & Director, HCLFoundation, shared the journey of how the foundation grew from 25+ partners in 2016-17 to 450+ in 2021-22. She spoke about how the foundation’s area of operations has increased from just 4 districts to over 20 states in India at present.

She highlighted the key achievements of the organization during the event.

  • 5.5+ million lives impacted
  • 66,000+ land brought under community management
  • 57+ billion of water harvested
  • 1.45+ million saplings planted
  • 70,000+ animals treated and protected

She emphasised the importance of collective efforts in creating a sustainable and inclusive world along with highlighting the significant role played by technology in driving social change for the betterment of communities.

In her address, Dr. Nidhi talked about the importance of collaborative partnerships to tackle pressing challenges such as education, healthcare, environment, rural development, digital empowerment, skill development, women empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, etc. She expressed her gratitude to the various organizations and individuals who have joined hands with the HCLFoundation in their mission to create a positive impact.

Speaking about the future CSR plans, Dr. Nidhi shared that the foundation will continue to work on its flagship programs and special initiatives like Uday, My E-haat, etc.
