New Delhi, 24 January 2022: Despite incurring losses, Tata Motors Limited, an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company, has spent as much as Rs23.99 crores on various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and programmes in the financial year 2020-21. This amount has been spent on skill development, promoting education, eradicating hunger, COVID-19 relief, environmental sustainability, etc.
The total expenditure reported for the financial year was Rs 23.99 crore out of which the spent towards CSR initiatives and programmes amounted to Rs 23.68 crores and administrative overheads amounted to Rs 31 lakh. Last year, the company had spent Rs. 22.72 crores on CSR.

Tata Motor’s Major CSR Projects
The company’s CSR efforts focused on health, education, employability, and environmental interventions for relevant target groups, ensuring diversity and giving preference to needy and deserving communities inhabiting urban India. It also donated medical equipment to government healthcare providers through CSR programs.
