WODWICHEE

The Welfare Organization for the Destitute Women, Infants and Children s Enrichment and Enlightenment known popularly as WODWICHEE was founded in 1989 and registered under S.R. Act of 1860 in 1993 and FCR Act. of 1976 in 1999. It is also registered under Section 12A and 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961 , Right from its inception Wodwichee has been committed to the cause of destitute women and neglected deprived children. In addressing these objectives and commitments WODWICHEE has been concentrating its humble effort on socio-economic empowerment, improvement of indigenous skill, education and awareness. Some of the major programmes and projects being implemented by WODWICHEE at present are , 1.integrated programme for people s training & education , Support to training and employment project (step) , Integrated project for rural women artisan shgs , 2.integrated programme for care & protection for women & girls , Swadhar shelter home and help line , Short stay home at hailkandi (annex-1) , Sensitization program on women labour & domestic violence , 3.integrated programme for children and youth , Composite centre for working children , Integrated programmes for care of elderly , Old age home at hailakandi (annex-1) , Multi sevice centre for elderly , 4.integrated programme for persons with disabilities , Vocational training and workshop for person with disability , Project for purchase & fitting of aids & appliances to disabled. , 5.rural resource management & technology transfer , Eco-hatchery project (production of quality fish seed) , Integrated psciculture and composite farming project
