Sri Dakshinya Bhava Samithi a voluntary organization which sprang from the abysmal agony exerienced by Dr T V Rao on having two mentally retarded children made an informal and humble beginning in its inception in 1995 with a meager strength of 7 children and 2 teachers has grown Exponentially and has completed Fourteen Serviceful years to mentally handicapped children of this state , Activities are conducting such as , 1 Creating awareness for prevention identification and assessment of PWD , 2 Early Intervention , 3 Special Education , 4 Therapeutic Services Speech Yoga Physio Dance etc , 5 Integrated Education , 6 Vocational Training , 7 Sheltered Work Shop , 8 Employment , 9 Community Based Rehabilitation , 10 Training Programmes for Parents Anganwadi Workers Normal Teachers Grand Parents Sibblings , Achievements are , 1 Mainstreamed 18 children into normal school , 2 V Lakshmi Sailaja from Guntur completed her Bacholors Degree through Distance Education , 3 Best Parental Award by National Trust , New Delhi , 4 Service Award by Godfrey Philips India Foundation New Delhi 2007 , 5 Smt Jamuna Devi Tribrewala Award by FAP , CCI, Hyderabad 2004 , 6 Premlata peshawaria National Award 2009 , 7 Service Award by Siva Foundation Chennai 2004 , 8 National Status Award for Social Development by Health and Education Intelectual Development New Delhi 2008 , 9 Best Service Award by ICFAI Deemed University 2005 , 10 Visista Seva Ratna Award by AARADHANA Hyderabad 2004
