SHAPE SOCIETY FOR HUMAN ADVANCEMENT AND PROMOTION OF EMPLOYMENT

The organization achieved in multi dimentional activities, such as healath and family welfare with the implementation of Projects i.e. Reproductive and Child Health under NRHM as field NGO, Targeted Intervention Project on HIV/AIDS with Female Sex Workers in the district of Sivasagar whrere total 8 numbers of HIV positive people have been provided with required care and services, STI Management, Condom Promotion and empowering the High Risk Groups with the help of Behaviour Change Comunication and providing regular services of STI Management through NGO Clinics. The NGO has the large experience of forming SHGs in the village areas where nearly 600 numbers of SHGs are registered under the organization out of which total 223 numbers of SHGs have linked with various financial organization for their fututr sustainability. All existing SHGs are involved in various income generating activities such as handloom, handicrfats, Muga Silk rearing and reeling activities, Piggery farming, pisciculture, composite farming activities with the NGO support programe. The NGO has been implementing projects supported by NABARD, KVIC, Development Comisioner (Handicrafts), Assam State AIDS Control Society, Central Social Welfare Board etc.
