1.Eradication of Child Labour , 2.Developing livelihood access to marginalized women , 3.Enhancing access to drinking water , 4.Enhancing access to water resources Enhancing access to water resources , 5.Earthquake relief and rehabilitation , , PIRD ACHIEVEMENTS , 1) 800-odd child labourers have given up child labour and have accessed formal school education due to various PIRD campaigns. , , 2) 60 non-formal education centres, promoted across 60 villages by PIRD, have benefited more than 10,000-odd children. , , 3) 608 destitute women have organised themselves in 65 SHGs, out of which 252 women have started income generation activities at micro level because of PIRD efforts. , , 4) As part of the multi-dimensional development programme across 51 villages, drinking water problem was resolved in 20 villages and 300 hectares of non-irrigated land belonging to marginal farmers was brought under irrigation. , , 5) Till date, 2,221 hectares of land has benefited due to watershed development and natural resource management work done by PIRD. , , 6) During the 1993 Latur earthquake, PIRD agitated for housing rights of destitute women and in the process, ensured allocation of residential plots to 800 destitute women by government during earthquake rehabilitation.
