Special features of the organization

COSEHDA has organized more than 500 HEALTH Camps in remote and unreached areas in Assam. It has undertaken non communicable disease screening programmes on various diseases such as diabetes hypertension anaemia osteoporosis bone diseases nerve function disorders in Guwahati. It has received an appreciation award from Assam AIDS Control society on 14 June 2011 for organizing various blood donation camps in Assam in association with GMCH blood bank. COSEHDA has organized various awareness programmes on child sex ratio,witch hunting,girl child education Women empowerment under the schemes sponsored by Central Social Welfare Board Govt. of India.It has also organized various rally drive for voluntary blood donation campaign,awareness drive for population control policy HIV AIDS rally,awareness drive for disaster awareness. COSEHDA has organized various Yoga Camps among the school children of sonapur and Khetri areas in Kamrup and metro Districts.COSEHDA has newly started craft training programmes among village women and has also started various innovative programmes for cancer screening treatment and rehabilitation under the guidance of secretary Dr Himajit Kumar Barman MS ENT presently running IRCA deaddiction center and conducting PWD surveys in Goalpara and Baksa district
