Activities of the Organization during year 2015-16. , , The organization has been undertaking multidisciplinary activities in the area since its inception in the year 2006. Few of the remarkable activities worth highlighting are as: , , a) Making Audio Visual Documentation and Archiving of Buddhist Monastic and Folk dances under Ministry of Culture, GoI. , b) Organizing medical health camps across region in collaboration with 4th Bn ITBP Dirang and also with NRCY ICAR Dirang at Thembang Village, Salari Village, Rahung Village etc. , c) Distribution of Blankets, Study Tables, Hygiene utilities to Primary School Students at Thembang Residential School in collaboration with ICAR-National Research Centre on Yak. , d) Allotment of kitchen wares to Thembang Monastery. , e) Encouraging the production of local garments, handicrafts & its use especially among youths. , f) Massive plantation drive in & around the Dirang rural outskirts. , g) Intensive Awareness programmes on Environment, Biodiversity its significance & conservation aspects. , h) Training on vermin composting & organic farming at Thembang village. , i) Encouraging the youths to undergo training on revered pantomime dance forms of the Himalayan region. , j) Promotion of tourism in the area, Mon- Thembang heritage Village. , k) Organized seminar on the need to preserve the Himalayan art & culture at Thembang Gompa.
