TNAI have state branches in all the states and UTs. TNAI presently have 3 lacs life members and 2 laces students nurses members. TNAI is affiliated with Commonwealth Nurses and midwives Federation. Providing on the Job training and continuing education programmes for nurses midwives . publication of books ,Nursing Jounal Of India since 1910, and Socio Economic Welfare programmes since 1963. TNAI also organises and colloborate National and International seminars and conference .
