Established in Mumbai to further the cause of freeing domestic workers from their slavery like existence National Domestic Workers Welfare Trust is promoting the dignity of domestic work and workers, advocating their legitimate rights as workers and empowering them to stand up for themselves were the guide posts for this new movement.Today, 32 years later, the movement has spread to 16 states in India and covered over 2 million domestic workers.
