In the process of carrying at all the above said activities the diocese had to depend on contribution from public and accordingly the diocese felt it proper to abide itself to some law of the state in the matter of its accountability to the public , over and above its moral obligations and accountability to the Holy See under canon law.Even though the diocese has got the juridical status under the canon law of the catholic church and the power under it to acquire, posses and alienate properties.
