The Bombay Art Society

The Bombay Art Society, a Non- Profit Arts Institution founded in 1888, is one of the oldest art institutions in the Asian Subcontinent promoting visual arts since last 127 years. Considering its yeomen services in the field art, The Bombay Art Society was granted a land at Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai by the State Government where a huge symbol of architectural grandiose has now taken shape consisting of 3 State of Art Galleries, an Auditorium, a Conference Room and a Art Reference Library. This Art Complex was inaugurated on the 13th February, 2016 at the hands of the Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi. , , The Bombay Art Society has also held successful All India Annual Art Exhibitions since past 124 years, creating exhibition platform for deserving artists. During the Annual Art Exhibitions the society also confers awards and scholarships to the artists. , , The Bombay Art Society is celebrating 125 successful years of holding All India Level Annual Art Exhibition. On this occasion we have planned to hold an exhibition and publish a well researched book titled, The Bombay Art Society : History and Voyage of 128 years. The celebration will be held from 10th February, 2017 to 31st March, 2017 at NGMA, Mumbai.
