The Banyan

As an established organisation with two decades of experience, The Banyan is on the frontlines of innovation in the mental health and development sectors, and in a unique position to build momentum and transform niche experiments and innovations into regime level systems that focus on breaking down structural barriers to care, and are more responsive to the social ecology of mental health, homelessness and poverty. By obtaining the grant from Oak Foundation, The Banyan can successfully transition into the regime level and evolve policy directions to address persistent and complex barriers to care that further exacerbate mental health issues, such as rural poverty, poor quality human resources, and lack of access to appropriate support services.
