Special features of the organization

The Angadikadavu Don Bosco Society was started in the year of 1994 in the very remote area called Angadikadavu, in Kannur District. The Society is managed by Salesians of Don Bosco(SDB) and delivers quality education and other social services to the rural people.The society initially focused on starting educational institutions and presently society runs two professional colleges in the area. the Professional College is names as Don Bosco College, Angadikadave, which is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Kannur University. It provides the Master degree in Computer Application. , The Other College names as Don Bosco Arts and Science College,Angadikadavu, which delivers Arts and Science- bachelors and Masters Degrees which includes Social work,Journalism, literature, Commerce, Mathematics etc. , As part of delivering Social Service to the Community, society initiated its Professional Service Wing named Don Bosco Initiatives for Social Action (DISA) in Collaboration with Social Work Department. Under this, Society initiated different schemes and programmed. Don Bosco, angadikadavu is the Nodel Organisation of Childline, Kannur. DISA also initiated DIDA Legal Aid Clinic, in Collaboration with District Legal Service Authority, Kannur. Society also runs different Projects and Programmes underDISA in the areas of Research and Development, Training and Consultancy, Youth Development, Family and Child Welfare, Legal Aid and Services, Women Empowerment, Elder Care, Counselling and Mentoring etc.
