All Manipur Senior Citizens Welfare Association, stands to make the remaining sunset days of the senior citizens/older persons comfortable and happy. It attempts to re-activate the old good Manipuri tradition of respect of parents/elders and love for their sons/wards/youngsters by the elders. It undertakes various welfare and health-care services for the older persons out of its own resources, raised through donations from public/well wishers and members contributions. , Achievements:- , Vayo Shreshta Sanman Award 2012 conferred by the Ministry of Social Justice &Empowerment, Government of India. , , Major Activities:- , Running/Maintaining an Old Age Home at Mongshangei, Imphal West with 25 inmates (10 females and 15 males). , , Conducts regular Health Awareness & Counselling Programmes/Workshop across the state, including the hill districts, targetting the senior citizens/older persons. , , Regular Free Medical Camp for the senior citizen/older persons. , , Conducts GOI s scheme Awareness Programme , , Observes annually the International Day of Older Persons wherein free gifts such as warm clothes, blankets are distributed. , , Conducts regular Cleanliness & Sanitation Programme along with local clubs.
