Special features of the organization

I am proud that the birth of SYA took place at the hearts of self-less dedicated young founder members. We started our youth-to-community work with an intention to do some thing to needy community around us. We did not contemplate a village-based youth group will become as Voluntary Organisation. Since its inception up to 1991 our focus was only on community-based youth related activities with active collaboration of Nehru Yuva Kendra. We are grateful to Mr. Mohd. Khallelulaah (Youth Co- ordinators) for providing initial guidance. SYA journey of development interventions started in the month of November 1991 with SIDA support by adopting 10 projects villages. We are indebted to Late Mr. Sampath Kumar, who is at that time staff member of MYRADA for his consultancy at free cost and demonstrate the way to access external funds. Since then, we have received active funding support from both Governmental and Foreign Aid to implement various development interventions. , , As founder member of Network of Voluntary Organisation in Kurnool District (NOVOK), SYA builts linkages with District Administration, United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP) and Action Aid. As active member of NOVOK, SYA promoted SHG movement by formation and strengthening of SHGs and village and mandal level networks. I am indebted to Sri Premchandra Reddy, I.A.S., who has trust on SYA initial stage and also provided guidance and steadfast support as UNDP and Action Aid Partner NGO. , , In SYA s cruise to address issues environmental and natural resource management in promoting and strengthening CFM movement in the adjacent Nallamalla forests area, Andhra Pradesh Farmers Managed Ground Water Systems to enable rural farmers to manage their own ground water systems in and around Gooty of Ananatapur District.
