The Sri Ramanjaneya togalu gombe mela, Trust, Bellary. Striving hard for upliftment of leather puppetry farm of folk art for the last thirty years. This ancient art was confined to the plays of mythology only, but the institution ventured to perform this art farm availing the historical and social themes like 1857 Indian independence movement, Mahatma gandhiji, Prophet, Basaveshwar, kitturu Rani Chennamma and so on. Amazingly the leather puppet shows are welcomed in rural and urban areas. When the social themes exhibited like National Rural Development health care, Nutritious food, Pulse Polio immunisation, AIDS awareness, Affect of Tobacco, Irradiation of Malaria, and such other programmes. , This institution has given has given performances all round the country the prestigious festivals like, Apna-Utsav, New Delhi, Dakshinotsavam, Trivandrum, National Festival, Nagpur, fe-te-de- Pondicherry, Putul Yaatra, New Delhi, Inter culture exchange festivals, throughout the state of kerala and Bihaar, Bapu Shows at Rastrpathi Bhavan and various places of New Delhi. , Recently our institution has been visited Zurich, Switzerland, participating as part of art exhibition which was related on Ramayan exhibition title Rama and SIta, there we gave more than fifteen shows Panchavati Prasanga i.e., seetas abduction. The exhibition organised by the Riet berg Museum Zurich, due to the event of 60th anniversary of Indo Swiss friendship, the festival name titled BHARATOTSAV. It is a new and enthralling experience of the troupe artists of the institute, not only gave the performances and also conducted a workshop on puppetry how to prepare the puppets with miniature work and painting and manipulating puppets and perform the puppet show. , The institution has produced many shows in this folk art which are telecasted in Doordarshan New Delhi, and Bangalore. The tele serial based on mahatma gandhiji s achievement of life titled BAAPU. , Thus we have been working for this ancient folk art farm, and successfully carrying on the largest activities and giving programme. Not only supporting this ancient stage art farm, but also some families of puppeteers are depending this art farm by the institution efforts which a hope continues to make alive this rare kind of art farm.
