Son Chirayia is a non profit apolitical organization to propagate and preserve the folk art forms of India under the able guidance of Padmabhushan Vidushi Girija Devi ji and renowned folk singer and artist Smt Malini Awasthi. We are four years old organization and have conducted grand shows showcasing the traditional folk art forms from Awadh, Bhojpur, Banaras, Bundelkhand, Braj etc. , We at Son Chirayia believe that folk music of most part of India has untapped potential which is yet to get proper exposure in the national capital. Folk art forms of India represent the social and cultural fabric of India in its original color and has numerous outstanding folk artists who need to be given proper stage and exposure. , Son Chirayia has been promoting several folk art forms like Birha , Alha , Dhobia , Raai , Pai-danda , Hardaul , Rasiya , Charkula , Kajari , Fagua , Nautanki , Karma , Nirgun , and traditional wedding songs.
