Special features of the organization

By the patronization of Central Social Welfare Board New Delhi the organization has set up a Family Counseling Centre at Angul wef: 7th Jan,2004.The main thrust behind the programme is to strengthen the social fabric by preventing families from breaking-up and promoting harmony within the family through counseling by the counselors. It is providing preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to the women who are victims of atrocities. The centre aims at providing distressed women with services like crisis intervention, investigation in dowry death cases, counseling in the cases of marital/family mal-adjustment, reconciliation in cases of separation and out -of-court settlement in the marital cases and referral services like short stay, legal aid and police assistance etc. The organization by the financial support of State Social Welfare Board, Odisha, and Bhubaneswar has been implementing 2 Nos. Creche Centres under the Rajiv Gandhi National Creche Scheme Programme for the children of working mothers since 1st Feb, 2006 at Angarabandha and Santarapur of Angul to promote a healthy all round development of children of working/ailing mothers particularly those employed in the unorganized sector and belonging to the BPL category. The cr che offers parental care, nutritional food intakes, motivation for coverage of immunizations, recreational facilities and pre-school education to 60 children within the age group of 0-6 years of the working and ailing mothers of the locality.
