Special features of the organization

Over the last 20 years more than 600 paraplegics and quadriplegics have undergone the rehabilitation program at the SAHAI Spinal Injuries Rehabilitation Centre at Coimbatore. The results obtained are second to none in the world and in cases of high thoracic injuries functional walking has been achieved in over 30 percentage of cases. Paraplegics are encouraged to walk extensively when they get home as wheel chair rehabilitation is not a solution for India.
