Sivananda Rehabilitation Home was founded as a Charitable organisation in 1958 with the sole aim of providing a Home to destitute leprosy patients. Starting with 70 patients it was expanded and accommodated about 950. At present houses about 450 inmates. What was initially planned to be a small asylum for destitute leprosy patients was soon overtaken by time and events to find itself expanded into a large and impressive Institution with 130 beded hospital for RCS, medical
