Foundation of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust (SSSST) was laid in the early 1950 s. It was our founding father Param Pujya Gurudev Shri Rachhoddasji Maharaj who realized the problem of blindness as a major public health concern and organized the mega surgical camp at Chitrakoot in the year 1950 and successfully performed 950 cataract surgeries with the help of his disciples (ophthalmologists) from Mumbai. Since then eye care is at the heart of trust activities and today it is known as Rural Eye Care Model. The Trust was formally registered as public charitable Trust in 1968 in Dhar, Indore, State of Madhya Pradesh in India. , The primary activity of the Trust is EYE CARE. We are the largest NGO in the field for Eradication of Blindness, situated in the rural part of central India. Eye care Hospital is fully equipped to take care of all eye related cases like Cataract, Glaucoma, Vitreo Retina, Cornea, Refractive Surgery to Occuloplasty and various other eye surgeries. Our services are accessable to more than 700,000 people & performed 1, 50,000 surgeries last year. The Trust has set up two Eye Hospitals, project one is SADGURU NETRA CHIKITSALAYA at Chitrakoot, District Satna, (M.P) with over 2000 bed hospital, in 250 acre Campus & other one is SADGURU SANKALP NETRA CHIKITSALAYA at Anandpur, District Vidisha,(M.P.). with a 250 bed hospital in 62 acre campus. Currently we are working in the rural part of three states of Northern India i.e. in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh & Rajasthan. We are also providing a primary eye care services in 31 locations of M.P, U.P & Rajasthan through our vision centre program. We also conduct more than 2000 outreach eye camp in remote rural village.
