Sharana Breast Cancer Relief and Research Foundation

Sharana focuses on patients who are affected by breast cancer and cannot afford their medication. It provides direct services to people battling breast cancer through direct assistance, enlisting other charitable trusts for financial aid and compassionate support. The cost of treatment for breast cancer which includes surgery, radio therapy and chemo therapy is likely to be around 2 to 3 lakhs. Through Sharana Dr. Selvi Radhakrishna has helped 54 patients with diagnostic service, surgical service, hospitalization expenses, chemotherapy drug procurement and radio therapy. In addition to diagnostic and treatment service Sharana also created awareness and performs screening for different groups of women across Chennai.
