Special features of the organization

Shaheen works in 20 slums of old city, Hyderabad and has diverse constituencies - adolescent girls, women, school and college students (both girls and boys. Shaheen is keen to bring change in the society by addressing structural causes of poverty, discrimination and inequalities by bringing gender analysis to these issues. Shaheen promotes equality which cuts across barriers of caste, class, religion and sex. Discrimination based on race, class, caste, sexual orientation, gender.
