STEPS AVAHAN PROJECT , Implementing roject in 5 sites supported by International HIV/AIDS Alliance, UK. It is an innovative programme to reduce HIV infection amongst Female Sex Workers, and Men Sex with Men and partners, IDUs, People Living with HIV/AIDS (KPs) by developing and enabling environment and providing STI treatment and basic HIV care. , Achievements: , Clinics were established for treatment of KPs . , Provided training for the KPS in correct usage condoms . , Advocacy meetings conducted for Stake holders. Exhibition Video shows arranged during festivals to create awareness among general population. Encouraged KPs to form CBOs, 1 MSM CBO, 1 PLWHAS CBO were formed , , STEPS CLINTON FOUNDATION PEDIATRIC AIDS INITIATIVES , , Implementing the project in Srikalahasti supported by Vasavya Mahila Mandali lead partner funded by Clinton Foundation USA . Providing services to the HIV positive children , , STEPS-VMM HCBCS Programme: , In Home community based HIV/AIDS care and support programme, providing care, support and treatment to the more number of PLWHAs. Prevention of new infections among high risk population. Supporting income generation activities. Providing nutritional support. Developing linkages with government programmes .Providing educational support and welfare services to the CLHA, CAA .Skill development of the support groups. Psycho social support to the PLHA. Formation and strengthening of Grannies clubs. , , STEPS-VMM EDC Programme: , The HIV affected children were provided educational support in Srikalahasti municipality area. The main supporting activities are paying school fees including examination fees, providing school uniforms, books, stationary and school bags. , , STEPS URBAN HEALTH CENTRE (STEPS UHC) , Running Urban Health Center in the slums of Srikalahasti Municipality covering a population of 20,000. , provides 1.Mother and Child Health Services 2.Family Planning Methods and Operations. 3. Awareness on Health related issues.4.Health Education, Awareness Campaigns for Women and Adolescents , Conducting Medical Examination for the school children , Achievements: , Mahila Aarogya sangams and Janani teams were formed and training given to them . , Achieved 100% motivation of family planning cases every year. , Awareness and motivation created among the SCs,STs community and they are approaching the UHC voluntarily for the family planning operations , STEPS UHC is getting A grade every year , , , , RCH PROGREMME , , STEPS implemented the RCH programme in Thottambadu mandal covering a population of 20000 funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Govt of INDIA , , , Achievements: , 1. Awareness created among women adolescent girls about RTI STI, HIV/AIDS , 2. Institutional deliveries were promoted. , 3. High risk cases were identified and achieved 90% referrals to referral hospitals , MALARIA ERADICATION PROGRAMME : , , Conducting free Medical camps in the malaria affected villages and slums and providing clinical services to them. Creating awareness to keep their surroundings clean and hygiene to prevent breeding of mosquitoes which causes Malaria , , CANCER AWARENESS CAMPS , Conducted Cancer awareness camps and detection camps in the villages and , LEGAL ASSISTANCE & COUNSELLING CELL FOR WOMEN , President of STEPS as a member of Lok Adalat, Srikalahsti in association with Mandal legal literacy authority and local lawyers organized several legal literacy camps in its target villages and as a president of women vigilance cell, solved many problems of women.
