Special features of the organization
At the beginning, Survey, Child Development, Women Empowerment & SHG formation, Education and Training programs were undertaken by the Trust, and thereafter, acceleration and addition in activities like Art & Handicraft Develpoment, Health Services, Environment & Wild-life Protection, Forestation, Human Rights / Advocacy, Micro-enterprise dev, Youth Development and involvement in Community Development works etc were made day-by-day. , In subsequent years, activities and strength of Serve-SEWA amplified ensuring Sustainable livelihoods for poor, Mainstreaming of Helpless female, mF for SHG members and NRM etc. , Capacity Development & Training is one or the main activity. With sincere sponsorship by NABARD,Canara Bankand other agencies, need based capacity building training were organized for Farmers,rural women & girls. Trust run 03 regular training centre for rural female.Production cum Sale centre is in function. , Women Empowerment & SHGs - Nowthe total number of women SHG has gone to 103 with membership of 1500. NABARD has supported under SHPI scheme while these groups are linked to Banks. Gender Mainstreaming activity is focussed to assist helpless & destitute female to join the socio- economic mainstream. Efforts are made to organize Women Kissan clubs. , Education Programme specially for poor rural girls are a regular activity of the Trust. Helpline Education Centre is in function for formal and Non-formal methods of guidance for students. , With colleboration of local Govt. departs, the Trust is running Health and Child Development Schemes. Besides this, several Workshop , symposium, training Camp and Facilitation ceremonies are organized. , Sustainable livlihood program for rural poor, with special focus to women, is another main activity of the Trust. More than 3000 families are benefitted with different type of locally suited IGPs with due training, linkages andmarketing support.Promotion of local natural resources and its enviroment friendly use for development is ensured with appropriate mechanism.Micro enterprise Development, Mocro finance support , Vocational Trianing are its common feature. , The Trust also care for awareness generation on Govt. Programs & schemes like NREGA, RTI, Pulse Polio,Aged care, peoples with disabilities, PDS & consumer protection,beside climatic changes,legalAid, study & Research and prepare micro plans for village development. { Detail information about the Activities, may be collected from Trust Office)
