Special features of the organization

SMART has worked extensively in conflict and disaster impacted regions, including regions impacted by the Tsunami and Earthquake. It has worked with the police forces and their family s post 26/11 in Mumbai. SMART also worked in Tamil Nadu post Tsunami on a rehabilitation program in 24 villages that were badly impacted by the Tsunami. The NGO looked at different ways of empowering the women. , Since 2013, SMART has been working in the conflict zone of Kashmir. It has launched Mothers Schools for the women whose families are impacted by insurgency. Building on their capacities and self esteem, the Mothers Schools have been very well received by the communities.
