Saras Trust implements Govt. shemes supported by different departments and ministries like Ministry of social Justice and Empowerment, Central social welfare Board, Tamilnadu Aids Control Society etc.,Tamilnadu Health system Project etc.We also work in close rapport with the local Gov.departments. , The District collectors and Govt. high officials have visited our centers. , Our staffs are part of Mobile counseling team of police department. , Our Sri Ramakrishna Home for the Aged at Gudalur provides shelter, nutritious food, counseling, and a healthy and calm environment for the poor, destitute and abandoned elders. These elders are provided recreational facilities like T.V, newspapers and magazines. , Sree Sarada Short Stay Home at Ooty provides counseling, legal aid, shelter, medical care, vocational training, self-confidence to the women and girls who are driven to difficult circumstances due to the tortures of their husbands or mother-in-laws or other family members. Till to day, more than 300 women and girls have been reunited or rehabilitated through our Short Stay Home. The women police extend tremendous support in dealing with the women of complicated problems.We run six cr ches in around ooty which provide nutritious lunch and tiffin, rudimentary of Education through play way methods. Songs, stories, games, toys etc. are used as tools of education for the children of ailing and working women. , A counseling centre for the patients at the Government hospital is run in collaboration with the Health department.
