Saahas aims to provide education, medical aid, appliances (wheel chair, calipers, modified two-wheelers) etc., vocational training, and gainful employment to persons with disabilities from economically disadvantaged rural families. It has already started a project of making regular and decorative candles to provide self-employment to disabled. It has provided employment in reputed organizations to a few. It plans to start a vocational training center in cashew processing in Sindhudurg district
