he majority of the population comprising of a large percentage of socially, economically, educationally and agriculturally backward people. Efforts are afloat by the Government and other bodies for the improvement of living conditions of the people but much headway has not been made in that direction. It is therefore left to the voluntary agencies and similar organizations to create a social awareness in the people and to remove stigma of poverty in them to the extent possible. It is here therefore that the services of the people with social outlook and great zeal and enthusiasm in the mission they undertake come to the forefront and assumes importance. A mission especially concerning rehabilitation of the poor in several fields with the enthusiasm for social work.
