Research Institute of Worlds Ancient Traditions Cultures and Heritage has been primarily workig in the field of Education and Research. The main onbjective is to link culture with sustainable develoment. As on today, RIWATCH has successfully addressed core issues related to ethnic life of the people of north east India. It has done research on TB involving Guwahati Medical College, Stanford University California. The research has been published in Science Translational Medicine Journal. The RIWATCH has publish four Peoples Biodiversity Registers for SMPB and UNDP. It has also published folktales of Idu-Mishmis and conducted number of Seminars and workshops on Himalayan Herbs and cultural traditions and Heritage. While reaching to the rural communities RIWATCH could develop volunteers in addressing woemn and child helth issues. Then up tow major researches on famly violence and nutrition. It also provides career counselling to the school going students. RIWATCH has also launched Back Pack Librarian to take good books in border areas and developing good reading habits among school going children
