Research and Information Centre for Orissa

Research and Information Centre for Orissa (RICOR), an organisation having experience of many planning exercises including functioning as TSI for preparation of district plans, offers its expertise in developing the Decentralised Planning Manual. RICOR has been engaged in similar assignments of developing material and documents for varied government institutions. It has worked with State and district administrations in developing decentralised district plans for Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur and Bhadrak districts. The agency has also prepared MGNREGS plan and been associated with Monitoring of MoRD Programmes as NLM in Nagaland, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura and Andhra Pradesh for last couple of years. Besides, RICOR has also supported the Orissa Economic Survey for the year 2009-10 & 2010-11. , The organisation has also worked in partnership with UNICEF for preparation of Decentralised Planning Manual in Odisha and also prepared Millennium Development Goals Report 2015 for Chhattishgarh State. The organisation has also the experience of preparation of District Human Development Report (DHDR) for Mayurbhanj district in 2011. Apart from this, RICOR has also conducted some research studies including Child Labour as Domestic Servants: A case study in Orissa with support from V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, Delhi; Study on Indebtedness of Marine Fish Workers in Odisha for OXFAM India in 2011; Tenancy System in Odisha for Ministry of Agriculture, GoI; Customer Service in Public Sector banks of Orissa, SLBC of Orissa; Trade Restrictiveness Index of India: Pre-and-Post Reforms Period for Ministry of Finance, GoI; and Evaluation of Employment Generating Programmes in KBK Districts of Orissa for Ministry of Rural Development, GoI.
