Trains young learners in Bharanatyam and carnatic vocal and instrumental under its Natya and Sangeeta Shalas.Has over hundred students.Done five arangetrams and over ten salangai poojais.Value added training through teaching of theory and history of dance and music, folk arts, traditional temple ritual music of tevaram, tiruvasagam and tirupugaz.Periodical heritage camps at various temple sites of artistic significance is organized for students. Has produced and staged research based dance and music programmes involving the gurus and learners.Experimental and innovative methodology are introduced to develop creativity in students.Had presented a natya natakam based on Silappadikaram at the World Tamil Conference. Presented Sri Valli at Melattur Bhagavatamela festival. Presented Vande Mahatma as part of the Gandhi foundation celebrations on Gandhi jayanti. Presented Mihira based on Varahamihira astrological work for International Dance alliance. Presenting over fifty children in a natya natakam Sri Ramayanam where music students sing and dance students perform. Students are given platform for interdisciplinary research in academic fields of physics and dance maths and music. A library of books, DVDs and other multimedia archives is being created for student use. Conducts an annual dance seminar called TSParthasarathy memorial dance seminar. Invites senior artistes and scholars to impart training through lectures and workshops. Recently Dr Kudavayil Balasunramaniam gave a lecture on Tanjavur temple. Takes students for margazi uncavritti around the Kapaliswara temple as part of heritage preservation. Every student of dance is taught music, yoga, theory of dance along with epic stories to add dimensions to learning process. Music students are encouraged to give small concerts and are also encouraged to understand nuances of singing for dance. The institution strives at giving holistic training for students in our Indian art forms.
