Achievements of our Mobile Dispensary for Tribals , , We are operating a Mobile Dispensary for Tribals since 1985. At present we are maintaining two vehicles, two doctors and 8 medical and non-medical staff. It is also equipped with X-Ray, ECG, Semi Auto Analyser, Ultra Sound Scanner, and Clinical Lab. The medical team visits the various tribal areas weakly four times from Thursday to Sunday. They stay in the base camp provided by the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (local government body) at Rampachodavaram, a place 53 km from Rajahmundry. Nearly 1,600 patients are visiting our camps weekly. We have treated nearly 3,00,000 cases from April 2008 to March 2009, giving free medicines. , , Education about TB and Diabetics , Apart from giving free medicines, we educate the tribal people about the dreaded diseases like T.B., Diabetics etc. through CD shows. This education will help them to know about the disease and the use of medicines. , , Consultation by Specialists Multi Specialists Medical Camps , In addition to the regular weekly camps mentioned above we conduct Special Medical Camps once in three months. In these Special Camps specialist doctors from Rajahmundry render free service to nearly 1000 patients in one day. Specialists check the progress of the TB cases and prescribe the medicines accordingly. , , Eye Care for Tribals , Eye camps are conducted along with Special Medical Camps. Patients are screened for eye defects and needy cases are brought to Rajahmundry and operated in a private clinic free of charge. They and their assistants are provided with free food during their operation periods. We provide IOL and glasses to patients free of charge.
