Since our inception in 1986, we have been working for the mainstreaming and empowerment of the marginalized and excluded sections of the society in 07 backwards districts of Gorakhpur and Basti Divisions of Uttar Pradesh namely the districts of Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti and Siddharthnagar. , , During the 31 past years, PGSS has been actively engaged in the development and growth of the marginalized sections of the society and for capacity building of various stakeholders across the seven districts of Gorakhpur and Basti Divisions. With a very humble beginning by addressing the issues of maternal and child health, girl child education and women empowerment in the remotest villages of Desai Deoria Block of Deoria District in Uttar Pradesh, the organization now makes its presence felt in 1074 villages reaching out to more than 65000 families of eastern Uttar Pradesh covering seven civil districts of Gorakhpur and Basti Divisions. , , As PGSS completes 31 years of its successful existence, it has been recognized and appreciated for all its noble and dedicated services over the years at various levels and forums. , 1. The Regional Forum UKSVK also Awarded PGSS with First Prize for the Best Annual Report in the year 2007. , 2. Caritas India awarded PGSS with First Prize for Resource Mobilization in the year 2009. , 3. Indo Global Social Service Society IGSSS awarded PGSS with Shreshtha Puraskar Award of Excellence in the year 2011. , 4. National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development NABARD, awarded PGSS with Prashasthi Pathr Certification of Recognition for its excellent and commendable performance in the field of Organic Products on 12th July 2013. , 5. PGSS also won the First Prize at National Level for the Best Annual Report of year 2013-14 on 22nd September 2014 which was given by Caritas India during the National Conference at Bangalore. , 6. Indo Global Social Service Society IGSSS awarded PGSS for its innovation in communication to create community awareness, in the month of February 2016.
