Special features of the organization

The Organization has promoted a comprehensive rural health care model in remote rural area of Ahemednagar district by establishing a network of tertiary to primary level hospitals/health centres & rehabilitation centres, medical and health sciences educational, training and research institutes (Rural Medical College, Rural Dental College, College of Nursing, College of Physiotherapy, Centre for Biotechnology, Centre for Social Medicine, School of Bioscience Management) and comminity health and developmental projects. The 800 bedded multispecialty postgraduate teaching hospital, rural cancer treatment centre and 9 rural health health centres, extension OPDs, 5 mobile medical & dental clinics & free medical treatment camps run by the trust covers the remote rural and tribal areas of Ahemdangar and its neighbouring districts in Maharashtra. The Trust is recognized by MoHFW, Govt. of India as Mother NGO in 1998 for implemening its RCH, NRHM and AYUSH schemes in rural Maharashtra. The Trust has implemented nearly 20 major community health and development projects including RCH, HIV/AIDS, Elderly care, Adolescent Health, Differntly abled care, Village Enviroment and Sanitation, Cancer Prevention and Awareness, supported by central and state governments, international funding agencies like USAID, Sida, Pathfinder International etc.
