Prashanti Cancer Care Mission

Prashanti Cancer Care Mission has created an unique system for interdisciplinary problem solving in various aspects of Breast Cancer (BC) diagnosis, and management. It is actively involved in educating the community about BC and creating awareness, public outreach and early detection of women cancers via community screening, providing patient care through screening, diagnosis, and treatment of BC patients, providing patient aid, affordable cancer management and financial support, offering patient support through counseling & rehabilitation to BC patients & families, improving the quality of life of BC patients and survivors. It has also established Orchids Breast Health Center (OBHC), a Centre of Affordable Excellence in Breast Care, perhaps Indias first dedicated Breast Centre for hi-tech diagnosis and treatment of BC. It has also established Indias first dedicated Breast Oncoplastic Unit and International School of Oncoplastic Surgery involving organisation of an Annual IndoBritish Advanced Master Class in OBS and BC Symposium. It is well known for its pioneering work in breast reconstruction technique, which allows restoration of breast shape and improves quality of life in BC patients. It has also obtained SIRO Status from Government of India in 2015, Membership to National Cancer Grid of India in 2015, thereby, opening the possibilities of national and international collaborations in cancer research which has led to collaborative research projects with prestigious national & international research centers. Capacity building through Oncoplastic Breast Surgery conferences (OBS) and clinical research workshops are also part of the activities at Prashanti Cancer Care Mission.
