Special features of the organization

PERSON as a National- Level- Organization operating its diversified activities in 14 States of India PERSON today has branched out into performing various developmental activities that include provision of education, health, livelihood and skill up-gradation programme, addressing underprivileged youth and women living in slums and rural communities. , As multi-disciplinary organization PERSON, focuses on deprived, marginalized and weaker sections of the society especially youth and women for their socio-economic rehabilitation through skill development / vocational training pragramme since 2001. , The challenges of poverty, malnutrition, disease and health, unequal distribution of wealth , unfair sharing of resources , lack of opportunities reckons that rank of the poor are swelling. It is in above context Micro-credit and Micro-enterprise can play a very significant role in the alleviation of poverty. PERSON, therefore, changed its development strategy by incorporating creation of awareness, sensitisation, formation of self-help groups (SHGs) and mobilising of small savings by the poor for their development purposes.
