Special features of the organization

The slum based Children Development Program provided opportunities for refined behaviour, Social interaction and mental development to 125 children every year. This programme feeds, ensures medical care and dresses the children neatly. , Education Empowerment Programme: To help underprivileged children in terms of educational opportunities PAT has been providing Special Coaching in Tamil, English and Maths benefiting 600 students per year. , Tailoring Centres: With the purpose of providing employment opportunities PAT has been providing tailoring skills to adolescent school girls and jobless young women benefited two hundred and four. , Computer Training: PATs Computer centres aim at helping students to compete with their urban counterparts for IT related jobs. These centres benefited 252 students. , Health Care Programme: In collaboration with the Lions club, the Aravind eye hospital and District Blindness Eradication Society, PAT conducted three eye camps which benefited 553 persons. , Organic Farming: In harmony with its committed to create healthy environment, PAT encourages the farmers to produce safe to eat food free of pollutions hazardous to health. In this direction, PAT helps the farmers by producing natural fertilizers to replace chemical fertilizer combinations that harm the soil. PAT has set up demonstration and production plants of vermi compost to ensure crop productivity and restoration of soil heath, destroyed by indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. , Clean Energy Programme: PAT is committed to conservations of natural resources in the context of global warming and climate change. PAT encourages its clients to use energy efficient consumer durables like the improved cook stove and the solar lamps. , Financial Inclusion through Micro Finance a little bit of encouragement, necessary skills and just minimal financial assistance is all that the poorest of the poor needs to turn into thriving small business entrepreneurs. The availability of loans increases their confidence and motivation. , Microfinance and Women Empowerment: Women interacting with other women in the group and the resource persons collaborating with the group, acquire knowledge, information, and motivation, besides leadership abilities. Awareness of rights and privileges of women, value of the girl child, need of education, awareness on health, hygiene and environmental concerns are other fall out women gathering in Self Help groups.
