PARENTS ASSOCIATON FOR THE MENTALLY HANDICAPPED PERSONS KARIMNAGAR

Parents Association for Mentally Handicapped Persons (PAMENCAP) was formed by group of parents of Karimnagar area in April, 1988. The Association was registered in the same year under A.P. (Telangana Area) Societies Registration Act 1310 (Fasli) Technical guidance was provided by National Institute for Mentally Handicapped (NIMH) Secunderabad an apex body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India with the objective of human resources development, research and developing services models in the field of mental retardation. , Brought social awareness and improved the strength to more than 108 , As many as 10 types of products are produced by our students through VTC. , 27 Qualified & experienced staff members providing quality Rehabilitation&Training. , Procured half an acre government land at nominal market value and constructed two floors of school building admeasuring 1210 sq.mt. The building comprises of 12class rooms, office room, halls for vocational activity, physiotherapy and speech therapy. 75% of the building is completed besides leveling of the ground and completion of compound. We have shifted the school VTC and Early intervention center into the new building. The entire construction was met from the donation received from individuals NRIs and Corporate sector. , Purchased 25 seater Mahindra make bus from ANDRA BANK funds and seven seater TATA magic van for transporting students and staff. , Actively participating in rights movement, as we are executive members in confederation of parents association (PARIVAAR). , Sri R. Satish, 25 years age who was trained in our school and VTC is presently working in a coffee shop. , Sri B. Sadanandam, 35 years age is also now leading independent life. , Sri. Manoj a well trained boy in the school has got married and leading a normal life. He is employed in a Medical Shop.
