Pankhudi Foundation

Pankhudi Foundation started in 2005 as an informal group from IIT Mumbai by Shahzad Akhtar Wakeel, an IITB alumnus. The whole group was motivated to uplift the condition of underprivileged children of our society. , Over the last 11 years we have developed sustainable projects which are catering to under-privileged children in the areas of Education, Healthcare and life skills. , We are taking care of slum children, visually impaired children, girl education across different cities in India.[ Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Patna, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad]. , , We have positively touched over 6000 children since we have started. Apart from teaching, we are also involved in collection drives of so many things for the needy children. We keep providing relief works and materials during the time of natural disasters in the affected areas.[Bihar Floods2008, LEH cloudburst, Nepal Earthquake 2015, Chennai floods 2015 to name a few] , , Going forward, we have plans to strengthen our existing projects and also come up with an adoption promotion drive. Though adoption laws are strict in India, we believe that genuine family who wants to adopt a genuine needy child should get connected easily.
