To promote the theatre movement in Manipur. To promote research in the field of Manipur Dance, Music, Drama and for this purpose to establish a library and museum. To co-operate such other similar unions as there may be other institutions for the furtherance of its objects and enrichment of Manipuri culture as a whole. To set up institution including training in the art of theatre including instructions in the actors training study of stage c raft and production of plays. To promote, organize and undertake dramatic, musical and dance presentations, lecture study course, publications, films and tours consistent with the objects of the society. To encourage and assist production of new play by awarding prices etc.
