Special features of the organization

Niranthara a premier theatre group of Mysore, Karnataka is working as theatre reportoire since from Twelve years. Niranthara has organised theatre productions, theatre camps and workshops, theatre documentation and many other meaningful theatre activites in and around Mysore and Karnataka. , Theatre is the only media which can influence the people greatly. Keeping this in mind, knowing the capacity and strength of theatre as a media we are emphasising to expand human values through theatre. From several years we are working hard to realise our dreams of building a moralistic, value based society by taking theatre as a media since from the fifteen years. , For many years now, Niranthara foundation has been active on a vanity fronts such as theatre, folk arts, literature and environment with a clear vision and social commitment.Niranthara has organized many cultural, and thought provoking critical seminars. We have taken the advice and guidance of experts and specialists to actively participate in all spheres to provide a constructive permanence to them. , We have been working with great concern about water and sanitation. we have aroused awareness in the people through documentary films, workshops, poster-making camps, street plays, publication of books and artistic exhibition stalls. We have organized Karnatakas first ever Jala Jatha successfully about rain-water harvesting in Bagalkote district. , Niranthara has produced well known plays like Kusumabale by Devanur Mahadeva, Jalagara and Kalki by Kuvempu, Lankeshs MuttisiKondavanu, Tejaswis Maya Mriga and Shariffa by Manjunatha Belakere, K.G.Mallyas the statue of the Mahatma, TeaHouse by the famous Chinese playwright Lao She directed by shri Chidambara Rao Jambe.A dance and musical drama Kudala Sangama based on the vachanas by Basavanna with music by C. Ashwath has been presented by us. Sixty Shows of this play in and around Karnataka. We have also presented Badal Sircars Bhoma which deals with the problems of the peasants. , We have been conducting Sahaja Ranga an annual theatre training camp for college students. Every year we are touring Karnataka with Three Productions called Niranthara Ranga Payana. Every year we are conducting a National Theatre Festival Niranthara Ranga Utsava, which has become a premier thaeatre festival of Karnataka. , Presenting theatre as a strong cultural media to build a strong society, Niranthara Foundatin is trying to inculcate theatre as an expreson of Indian culture.
