Biodiversity conservation & Community development in Satkosia Tiger Reserve (STR) , The objective of the project is to create awareness and provide Capacity Building of the Eco-Development Committees (EDC) to strengthen their institutions at community level to ensure the inclusive sustainable development. This was implemented in 18 villages to provide alternative sustainable livelihoods thorough EDCs. , Campaign on Polythene free in Satkosia Tiger Reserve with Livelihoods support to the Eco-Tourism Groups (ETGs) & Self Help Groups (SHGs) , The broad objective of the project is to bring to an end the polythene use by tourists and local people inside the tiger reserve. It is based on the concept to sensitize the Tourists & Picnickers to avoid the use of polythene and carry out the alternatives. So, the basic activities are to train the village stakeholders ecotourism groups who are managing picnic spots/nature camps on management and safety disposal of polythene. They will completely avoid the use of polythene materials. By this effort, the use of polythene has reduced to maximum level and now the women SHG members are gainfully employed. , , Study on biodiversity of Mandaragiri Kallima hill proposed biodiversity heritage site , The basic objective of the program was to have an in-depth study on the bio-diversity existence of the Mandargiri-Kalima Hill to establish the need of the declaration of bio-diversity heritage and bring to the eye side of the people. A series of studies was made and the existence of the different species was included under the process of study. , Socio-Economic Study of Local People & Awareness Campaign in Satkosia Tiger Reserve , The objective of the project was to collect data on the socio-economic life and livelihood of the people in Satakosia area and create awareness to enhance their participation in management of reserve. The data collected from the villages along with the awareness and finally documentation was made by the way of detail analysis. , Implementation of Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP) , This is one of the unique projects supported by the Govt. of Odisha with assistance of International Consultancy Agency, JICA, Japan. The basic objectives of the project are to restoration of forest, ensuring sustainable livelihood with capacity building of the forest fringe villagers. The main purpose is also to involve the community in forest protection, management and development of the community. The project has been implemented in 206 [Vana Sanrakhyan Samiti[VSS] in Angul Forest Division and 18 Eco Development Committee[EDC] in Satkosia (WL) Division of Angul and Cuttack Districts. , Organizational initiative on environmental education in Schools: , By the self initiative of the organization, a special drive has been taken in school level to sensitize the students towards environment, bio-diversity, wildlife and upkeep their interest for nature. Organization has adopted 80 schools in all blocks of Angul District by the way of awareness camp, different competition programs, exposure and plantation in the school campus. This program has been highly recognized by the school management and the inspiration of the students and teachers is enlarging.
