Special features of the organization

Some of the achievements of the organization are following: , , 1. National council for urban and rural dev. society (NCURDS), Jammu working with the purpose for promoting science communication programme among the masses from last 14 years (Since 2002). , 2. NCURDS successfully organizing National Children Science Congress (a program of NCSTC, deptt. of science & technology, Govt. of India, Delhi) from last 10 years at district and state level in J&K. The organization strived hard & worked tirelessly in spreading NCSC in almost 70% of school which was a great achievement as in 2006 only 2 -3 schools of J&K knew about NCSC. , 3. The organization organized various scientific programme for the teachers of Mobile Schools (tribal schools of J&K who remain as in migration with 4-5 months during summer zone and likewise in winter zone). These schools hardly find any scope for any type of such training or workshop by Govt. It was the first ever opportunity for the mobile schools teachers to participate in training programme inculcating scientific temperament among them. , 4. Recently the organization has also been provided the responsibility by housing department of J&K for construction of Individual household laterin (IHHL) at R.S. Pura Municipality (tehsil of Jammu).
