Special features of the organization
We are happy to explain our activities towards the upliftment of rural educated youth through Nataraj Educational and Charitable Trust . We started our programme during 2006. The major aim of this Trust is providing education facilities to the children hailing from rural and urban areas. Also we are looking to extend our services in the areas of agricultural development, animal husbandry, IT enablement in rural areas. , Communicative English: , We conducted communicative English course for the past three years in Kattumannar Koil Taluk, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu State. Students of this area were facing difficulty in spoken English. So the authorities of the trust organized a free coaching class for the benefit of the school going children and +2 completed students. Average of 35 students participates in the training every year for 21 days. Well trained and experienced staffs have been working as trainers. The training has been conducted during May, which is typically summer holidays and also the students wait to join colleges in this period. Practical training in spoken English is also provided. , The objective of training the students in the age group of 14 to 18 in English language is successfully implemented in the project area. It is also proposed to introduce similar courses in other areas of rural background. , At the headquarters it is planned to organize spoken English course for the benefit of the working employees and businessmen during weekend while the trainings for students is continuing. , Access to Higher Education: , To provide access to University Education to the rural youth the trust made tie up with the Directorate of Distance Education, Tamil University, Thanjavur. A study centre of the university has been started in 2007. More than twenty candidates have been enrolled through our centre. We have our own academic experts to guide the students. We have sufficient infrastructure facilities. The students enrolled are mostly unemployed and unaware of the available facility in continuing their education and enhancing their employment opportunities. The University department of Distance Education Offers, UG, PG, Professional, Diploma and Certificate courses. , Providing Computer Education: , The Trust has obtained franchisee with ISO 9001 certified Sysway Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Chennai in 2009. The students of this locality mostly women candidates avail this opportunity. More than 35 students have enrolled in learning computer education. The school going students are charged with a nominal fee. Priority is given to socially and economically poor children. SC/ST and minority candidates are offered free computer education. The courses offered are COTT, HDSD, DCA, DDE, DTP, DAP and DBP. , Out of school children: , Yet another area we concentrate is school children who discontinue their education due to various reasons like failure and discontinuous of the regular course. These out of school children are availing this opportunity. , Educational Consultancy and Employment cell: , The trust offers free coaching classes for the prospective candidates appearing for the competitive examinations for state and central government jobs.
