Mobile Creches works with the children in the birth 12 years age group, living on the construction sites & slums of Delhi (NCR). Our experience on ground, strengthens our voice to advocate for policy change. Till date, we ve reached out to 7,50,000 children, trained 6,500 women as childcare workers, run 650 daycare centres & partnered with 200 builders. , Our training and advocacy efforts cover most of the North Indian belt. Mobile Creches is one of the few organizations that have been pioneering the cause of Early Child Care and development (ECCD). , , What sets Mobile Creches apart from other organizations working with children is our dual focus on the young child under 6 years in the urban slums and the migrant child, up to 14 years, on construction sites. We adopt multiple approaches for reaching the child at construction sites- providing direct daycare services; facilitating the builder to set up the services, while we provide the training and monitoring; and training and monitoring other NGOs to set up daycare services. At the urban slums, we train community women in daycare and provide support to enable them to provide quality daycare services, and also raise awareness about the need for childcare and help the community access government services. , The multi-pronged approach adopted by Mobile Creches working with construction workers children; working with urban slum communities; training and advocacy encompasses both the short term need and a long term vision.
