To take measures for the prevention of substance abuse and to establish treatment, rehabilitation and social re integration of people with substance dependency. , To identify, mobilise and assist NGOs, CBOs, FBOs to undertake and rehabilitate people with substance dependency. , To monitor, coordinate and evaluate the progress and activities of NGOs working in the above field. , To conduct and undertake research and training in the related subjects and field to fulfill the objectives of the Society. , Publication of literature so as to generate drug abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention awareness. So far, there are 22 publications targeting the general community, service providers and the drug users community. , Consultancy and capacity building with identified Master Trainers. MSD&RB is presently equipped with 50 trained Resource pool specialized in different areas on Demand and Harm Reduction. , Preventive education and awareness generation on substance abuse and its related issues for school children and general public. , Development of documentary films. These are effective intervention toolkits for drug abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention amongst children and adolescents. , Research / studies on different issues of substance abuse and HIV/AIDS to take appropriate action against drug and HIV/AIDS problems in the state. , Facilitate the observation of International Day against Drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
