Special features of the organization

Mizo Hmeichhe Tangrual was first started on 16th July 1946 to became the first ever Mizoram women voluntary organisation under then Mizoram Deputy Commissioner LL Peters. Among its achievements include opening the now well known Motherless Babies Home in 1969 and Working Women Hostel in 1979. Among its many achievements, it also set up a Shelter Home for women, located in Rangvamual, running a tailoring training facilities for women
