Special features of the organization
The Millennium India Education Foundation (http://mief-india.blogspot.com) is an apex organization working for promotion, encouragement and conduction of research in all aspects of education for promoting science & technology , , It is an All India Voluntary Organization equipped with specialized people from all walks of life. And in past five years MIEF has gained good experience and has been able to understand the issues related to development more keenly. , Organizing Drama/Cultural Programme supported by Dte.of Prohibition, GNCT Delhi , , The foundation has already successfully handled following govt.supported projects namely: , o Nature Study Workshop for teachers August 2006 , o Interactive Workshop For Science Teachers Using Low Cost No Cost Teaching Aids organized in July-Dec.2003 and , o Science Caravan organized in Oct-Nov.2004. , o Auo Mil Jhul Ke Science Ko Jaane aur Apanaye 2007 , o To create a repository of all the available data on the women & adolescent girl child health issues with specific reference to anemia and Nutrition. 2007 , Sensitization of Working women about their work related occupational hazards and about Do s & Don ts for its prevention- supported by DST , , Besides, the other major project handled by the foundation has been: , o Working with schoolchildren and teachers by organizing teacher training workshops and different competitions/ seminars/ workshops for students. , o Organized Inter School competitions on the eve of World Earth Day on 22nd April 2008. More than 200 students attended it from 33 schools. The event was held in Noida. , o Working in association with other NGOs by providing help in execution of their projects. (At present, the foundation is providing voluntary teachers for a school of underprivileged children run by an NGO in Noida.) , o Sponsoring at least one poor student to pursue his/her education for at least one academic year (two students have been provided financial assistance till now.) , o Helping professionals particularly doctor community, by educating them on management of personal finances (two annual conferences for doctors on portfolio management have been organized till date.) , o Facilitating proper networking within the community by preparing database (one such directory has been prepared for Kashmiri Pandit community residing in Noida, U.P.) , o Facilitating proper health care to people through MIEF Health Cards.
